Root beer floats have been around for a long time and they are a favorite for the ice cream lover. It is truly an easy concoction to make and so enjoyable. It is a very versatile drink that is good on a hot sunny day having a barbecue or an extra with treat when you are watching TV.
Making a Root Beer Float:
There are basically only two ingredients needed to make this drink. It is only a few steps to make this drink really foamy with the soda bubbles and the creamy ice cream.
Before you start making the drink I suggest that you freeze your glass and chill your soda first. This seems to make for a better drink.
First talke a glass that is very cold and put a scoop of vanilla ice cream into the bottom.
Now it's time to add another big scoop of ice cream to the glass.
Now for the finish. Just add more root beer to the glass, just high enough to reach the top.
For extra deliciousness:
Top with whipped cream and a cherry
