This refreshing Chocolate Water Ice is very chocolaty. The flavor is very intense and will satisfy the biggest chocolate lover in your house. Chocolate Water Ice is also a very simple and quick dessert to make.
It seems with the hot summer days that everyone wants something cold and refreshing to eat. Water ice can hit the spot! It is made with a few simple ingredients and made like you would ice cream. You just put it into an ice cream machine and let that do all of the work for you.
This rereshing chocolate water ice is not the same a Italian ice, because it is not quite as smooth. It is just a simple recipe using chocolate syrup, water, sugar, and, we know this is not the real way to make water ice, a tiny bit of skim milk. We made this recipe up a long time ago, before the internet, so we didn't realize that milk didn't go into water ice. However, it still works with us!
It is definitely a really chocolaty treat. When it is finished, it is slightly soft, but you can put it into containers and freeze it to a hard consistency. Truth be told, everyone wants some of the water ice before it is frozen hard; it is still really good when it is soft.
Sometimes, we take the mixture and pour it into popsicle molds and freeze it. This is another great summer time treat for you to eat. The kids really love this. It is an alternative to chocolate ice cream for a summer dessert.
