Our To Die for Bacon Cheeseburger Recipe is juicy and delicious, topped with an array of toppings and a special sauce. This will definitely satisfy you when you are in the mood for a great burger.
Juicy bacon cheeseburgers:
This cheeseburger recipe gives you the flexibility to create a juicy sandwich just the way you like it. We like to use an 80/20 mixture of ground chuck, but you can always go for the leaner cut which might not be quite as juicy; the choice is up to you.
Cheese is a main ingredient here, do you like the melty processed cheese, which we have found really good, or you can go for the real thing; also good. There are so many choices for you: Classic American, or spice it up a little with a slice or two of Pepper Jack Cheese, all things considered, you make the choice.
Because you have to put the burger on something, you get to choose the right roll. We used a potato roll because we like the flavor a lot. There are also regular hamburger buns with or without sesame seeds, or try a nice rich Brioche bun or even two slices of Rye.
When you make your cheeseburger, you can make it just a one patty sandwich or top the bun with two for a really filling meal. The double patty seems to be a choice of many people now a days.
The last thing to consider are the toppings for you burger. When you make this at home, your toppings can be endless. There are the usual lettuce, tomato, onion, ketchup, and mustard, but did you ever think of adding some spicy jalapeños, or sautéed peppers, maybe some french fries on your burger or even pickled onions? We added our special sauce to our bacon cheeseburger for a nice tang.
Ingredients:
- Ground chuck
- Salt
- Pepper
- Water
- Bacon
- Cheese
Making the "To Die For Bacon Cheeseburger":
There is not much you need to do to make a great burger. You just add some water, salt, and pepper. You want that classic beef flavor without too many spices. The added flavor comes from the toppings.
After you add the water, salt, and pepper to the meat, mix it up carefully, just until combined. You don't want the meat to become too hard and compressed that it won't be juicy.
Form the meat into nice patties with your hands; always the best way to make a burger. This recipe makes 4 good size patties.
Put the patties into a pan; a cast iron pan works well. You can also put these out on the grill, if you like. Cook them until they are nice a crusty on one side then turn them and cook until they are completely cooked. This should be 4 to 5 minutes per side.
When the burgers are cooked, top the with a slice or two of your favorite cheese and let the cheese melt. You can help the process by topping with a lid or pizza pan.
Now, choose your toppings for the burgers. Here are a few sides to put on your burger.
Things to serve with the bacon cheeseburger:
- French fries
- Potato salad
- Cole slaw
- Onion rings
- Corn on the cob
These are just a few things to top the burgers with, but you can put on many more things to your liking.
