Whenever you are in the mood for a great creamy drink, think of an orange float. Haven't had one of these in quite a while and made one the other day; forgot how tasty they are. Floats have been around for years and can be made from different flavors of soda or syrup.
Ingredients for the soda:
The orange float is made with soda and vanilla ice cream. We used orange soda ,obviously, since this is an orange soda. You should chill the soda before you make the float so that everything is cold. The only other ingredients needed to make this extra good are whipped cream and a cherry. You can also add some sprinkles for some added cuteness.
Start out making the float with a cold orange soda. Just fill part of the glass with the soda leaving room for plenty of ice cream.
Now, it is time to add the creamy vanilla ice cream to the glass. Scoop about two to three scoops, depending how big your glass is. You can make a small one, if you like, or an even bigger one. The rule is add some soda to the bottom of the glass, then add the ice cream.
The last step is to add some more soda and fill up the glass. Remember that the soda is carbonated and will fizz up. If you are not careful, it will fizz up right over the side of the glass.
The float is ready to drink, but now, you can garnish your float with some whipped cream, sprinkles, and of course, a cherry. Enjoy!
