Green Beans with Bacon

Green beans with bacon and onions on a white glass plate with a pad of butter on top
Print Recipe

Green beans mixed with bacon make a delicious side dish. Crisp up some  bacon in a pan and your kitchen starts to smell amazing. When they are done you can pour off most of the grease, just leave a little for that extra good flavor. Add some onions and the green beans and in a short time your side dish is ready.

Green beans are always around so you can eat them any time, but the summer months are when they are the freshest in the stores. Their bright green color and crispness make them a hit with most everyone.

They are also a versatile vegetable and their are many ways to serve them. They can be cooked with cheese or nuts, served as a main dish like bacon, beans, and potatoes. They can also be served on top of salads, so many ways.
